I'M GETTING MARRIED!!
Yes you heard right....I am getting married. I went home in September and got a surprise from Micah. Micah had asked me to marry him over the phone, but there was no ring, and I was not able to tell my family or his family. Micah had told me that he would not be able to get a ring until maybe December. Anyway I asked that we would at least talk to my parents so I could at least talk to them about it. We talked to mom and dad and did not really get an answer, but I was fine just as long they knew where my relationship with Micah was heading.....Plus I did NOT expect to have a ring on my finger the next morning. But I did.
So we took a walk at Ko Olina where we sat by a bench playing music and relaxing. We discussed our life together and our goals in life. Anyway, somehow he ended up sitting on the bench and I was sitting on a towel in front of the bench leaning against the bench. I turned around to face him and I was kneeling in front of him. He grabbed my hand and asked me if I was sure that I wanted to marry him. He asked over and over again making it seem more of a reassurance thing.not like a proposal with a ring. Well I was wrong, he brought out the box, my first reaction was to say "Are you serious?". Micah placed the ring on my finger and I said YES (for the probably 7th time in 1 minute) So now I am planning a wedding with my fiance thousands of miles away. I do have 10 months, but still it's crazy. It's really hard and we miss each other so much.
I am very happy. I am very blessed that Micah and I found each other. Yes we had to go to Utah to meet each other, but it was worth it. Micah is a typical local boy that loves watching the food network. Micah is a very loving man that takes care of everyone around him and also me who is far away at the moment. He loves the Lord and considers himself blessed to hold the priesthood. Micah is always concerned for his family and friends and relies on the Lord to help him help others. He enjoys reading and is always trying to learn more and more. He is very musical in which he sings falsetto Hawaiian, and also plays the ukulele and guitar. Talk about talented. Micah also has a passion for cooking and can appreciate a good meal. I once told him that I can imagine my grandma just picking him out just for me. I wonder if she had anything to do with it.
