OUR WEDDING

So I know it took awhile to even put something up about our wedding, but here are a couple. We got married on October 17, 2009 at my chapel in South Salt Lake. My Bishop married us. It was a small wedding with mostly family and only a few friends. My parents were able to make another trip here, despite that they were here a couple months earlier for our original wedding date. Since I had the dress, I decided to use it and Micah had a tux. Those that attended got together and made some food for a eating right after the ceremony and my cousin Kaleo and a friend of his decorated the cultural hall. Some friends and cousins brought food for the menu and Micah did some cooking as well. Menu consisted of Kalua Pig, Noodles, PB Chicken, Goat (from Molokai), Lomi Salmon, Sapa Suey, Rice, Shrimp Salad, Ahi poke. Big Mahalo to my cousins Alan and Maka and their families, Uncle Mao and Auntie Palepo and Ammon. Dessert was Chocolate Dobash and Haupia Cake. Drinks were juice that my visiting teachers provided and water and soda that Micah picked up. Thanks Meg and Mario. It turned out great even with the short notice. Even right before the ceremony I was asking family members to improvise things. We did as much of the traditional stuff as we could even though it was being played from my cell phone. Micah wrote and sang a song for me, I danced a hula. I was able to dance with my dad and then Micah. I threw the bouquet, but there was no guarder. When I can post the other photos I can expand on the dealings of the wedding. Thank you so much for all those that helped us on that day and made it so great and memorable. Till more photos are posted of the wedding I am out.

Our First Valentines as Husband and Wife

So Valentines Day was a whole day event. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner made for me with all the trimmings. We ate good that day thanks to Micah. Sorry I have only a photo of dinner since the presentation of it was extra special, but everything was ono.

Actually it started the night before with Chocolate cookies that he brought from work and a dozen red roses. Breakfast, if I remember correctly was eggs, bacon and potatoes. Lunch was buttered crab and peas on rice, and dinner was lamb chops with a raspberry maraschino cherry glaze thing , salmon, real mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Of course we had sparkling cider.

Valentines day was spent in our new place. It was basically our first day there. We had moved all my stuff the whole day before and got everything out of my apartment except one couch and odds and ends, which I did later. Either way Valentines day was great. Delicious food in our new home and being with my husband. Im sure Micah enjoyed Valentines as much as I did.
